Sign up as a volunteer tester and help Onlea build better resources for Canadian teachers!
Do you teach grades 5-12 in Canada? Are you interested in bringing data science into your classroom? If yes, we’d love your help creating a free course for teachers just like you.
What you'll be testing
Onlea is building a free, online course for elementary and high school teachers in Canada. The material will provide foundational knowledge of what data science is, the tools and techniques for finding and working with data sets, generating data visualizations, and analyzing data critically — all inside the framework of a digital or face-to-face classroom.
This course is part of the Callysto project, a federally-funded initiative which helps Grades 5-12 teachers and students across Canada learn data science skills, which are increasingly sought-after in today’s evolving workforce.
What's involved
- A 30-minute phone call to discuss the material and learn more about your online learning needs and preferences
- Reviewing online course material from the perspective of an end-user
- 2 to 3 Feedback surveys at different stages of course development. These may be email forms or short online chat
The total time commitment for this project is expected to be no more than 3 hours, spread out over 3 months. Our team is happy to work around your schedule.
