Onlea-Developed Program Wins Peer Choice Award at CMED
November 27, 2019
An Onlea-developed micro-learning program has won the Peer Choice Award for Best Online Program at this year's Conference on Management and Executive Development (CMED).
Offered by Athabasca University’s new PowerED™ entrepreneurial unit, Digital Transformation Leadership Certificate in Cloud, was developed collaboratively, with AU instructors providing subject matter expertise and Onlea providing instructional design, script editing, and multimedia eLearning development.
The credential includes five courses curated to help learners develop the technical and soft skills needed to lead digital transformation within organizations. The courses focus on the rapidly growing cloud computing space, including the ability to pursue industry-recognized Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certifications.
All five courses were developed over nine months and delivered in the late summer of 2019. The award is a testament to Onlea’s ability to work closely with client teams and subject matter experts to provide high-quality online learning experiences.
In addition to signalling an effective collaboration, the award has provided further validation of Athabasca University’s status as a leader in online education.
“The PowerED™ team was honoured to be recognized,” said Jessica Scott, AU’s PowerED Director. “We have a bright future providing online professional development to learners worldwide.”
CMED is an annual conference that brings together professionals from university-based executive education centres from all around the world. This year, there were 175 attendees from institutions across the United States as well as Asia, Australia, Canada, and Qatar.
